Turbogenerator Maintenance
|
| An
international leader in the power generation industry recently partnered with Bluel to create a wireless
application for turbogenerator maintenance. By eliminating
tedious manual procedures and improving measurement
accuracy, this automated solution dramatically accelerates
the inspections. The system was featured in Automation Magazine, and a research paper was presented at the EPRI International Maintenance Conference. |

High-accuracy
Timing |
|
Bluel
Technologies prototyped a high-accuracy timing peripheral
for a client who needed to overcome the poor realtime
performance of Win32 operating systems. The hardware
was designed in collaboration with an electronic engineering
firm, using an RS232 serial interface and PIC series
microcontroller. The BIOS firmware and Win32 device
drivers were developed in-house by Bluel. |

6502
Cross-Assembler |
In the
1990's, Bluel developed a cross-assembler/disassembler for
older Motorola
/ 6502 family microcontrollers. This was needed for a
specialized application which required several custom language
extensions to facilitate highly optimized code. The assembler's
feature set included special meta-instructions, temp labels,
and dynamic variable allocation. It also included a custom
linker for special-purpose memory layouts.
